Celebrating 15 Years of the Noida Cycling Club: A Journey of Cycling, Community, & Connection

On 10th April 2026, the Noida Cycling Club (NCC) proudly celebrated its 15th anniversary, marking a significant milestone in the journey of one of India’s most vibrant and dynamic cycling communities. Founded on 10th April 2011 by Aman Puri, the club began as a small weekend initiative with a clear vision to promote fitness, build a strong cycling culture, and contribute towards a cleaner, greener environment.

What started as a modest group of passionate cyclists has, over the years, evolved into a thriving rider network of more than 8,000 members. Today, Noida Cycling Club represents not just a cycling club, but a grassroots movement that brings together people from diverse backgrounds across Noida and the Delhi–NCR region. It has consistently encouraged individuals to embrace cycling as a lifestyle that blends fitness, exploration, and meaningful human connection.

A Vision That Sparked What NCC Is Today

At the heart of NCC lies the vision of its founder, Aman Puri, who set out to create a space where people could ride together, motivate one another, and make cycling an integral part of their daily lives. He also wanted to encourage people to use a sustainable mode of transport — one that leaves zero carbon footprint and long-term environment responsibility. Reflecting on the 15-year milestone, Aman Puri shared:

“When we started NCC, the idea was simple: to make cycling popular among people so that they could lead fitter, healthier lives and create a community of like-minded people to ride together on weekends and explore the city. Seeing it grow into a movement that now inspires thousands of people from all walks of life — from beginners to seasoned riders — and also being recognised widely for promoting a cycling culture across Delhi-NCR, is something I take immense pride in. This journey truly belongs to every rider who has been a part of it.”

Building a Cycling Culture Over 15 Years

With over 1,500 organised rides to its credit, NCC has curated a wide range of experiences from endurance challenges and fitness-focused routes to relaxed foodie rides, heritage explorations, and social-cause expeditions, ensuring there is something for every kind of rider.

Over the years, NCC has received widespread media attention for its consistent efforts in popularising cycling and promoting fitness awareness across Delhi-NCR. Its initiatives, community rides, and environmental advocacy have been widely featured by leading national publications, including the Times of India, Hindustan Times, WION News, and The Deccan Chronicle, reinforcing its position as one of the region’s leading cycling communities.

Media coverage has also highlighted NCC’s journey and key milestones, showcasing its steady growth, community impact, and ongoing role in building a strong cycling ecosystem in the city.

Riding Through the City, Building Memories

Every year, the club’s calendar is filled with opportunities for adventure and discovery. Whether it is a peaceful sunrise ride along the Yamuna, an endurance stretch towards Chandni Chowk, or a beginner-friendly route through the Ridge, each ride offers a unique experience. Each journey goes beyond distance. It is about shared milestones, personal transformation, and collective joy on two wheels.

15th Anniversary Celebration: A Day to Remember

The 15th anniversary celebration, held on 12th April 2026, beautifully captured the spirit of NCC. The day began with a special group ride from the iconic GIP Mall (Gate No. 9), a starting point that holds nostalgic value for many long-time members. Aman Puri was present throughout the celebration, actively participating in the anniversary ride, riding alongside members, interacting with riders, and cheering the community, adding a deeply personal and motivating touch to the occasion.

The celebrations continued at Steadfast, C-14, Sector 85, Noida, where the community came together for a morning of recognition, reflection, and camaraderie. Riders were acknowledged for their contributions, and the event featured a celebratory cake-cutting along with heartfelt speeches from long-standing members and community leaders, who shared stories from NCC’s journey and their hopes for its future.

Adding to the experience, participants enjoyed a rejuvenating yoga session focused on stretching and relaxation, followed by an informative cycling workshop that offered valuable insights into bicycle care and maintenance. The event concluded on a warm and cheerful note, with breakfast and thoughtfully curated goodie bags for all attendees, leaving everyone with a strong sense of pride and belonging.

What truly sets NCC apart is its inclusive and supportive culture. The club welcomes riders of all ages and skill levels, creating an environment where beginners feel encouraged and experienced cyclists feel challenged. A strong emphasis on safety ensures that members adopt responsible riding practices, while the spirit of community support helps individuals grow, learn, and enjoy the sport together. NCC members are also encouraged to cycle to work, schools, colleges, and other places.

Beyond Cycling: A Platform for Social Impact

Beyond cycling, NCC has steadily evolved into a platform for positive change. Through various awareness rides and social initiatives, the club has promoted sustainable living and environmental consciousness, reinforcing the idea that cycling is not just fitness activity, but also a sustainable mode of transport that contributes to a greener environment. NCC riders have also undertaken ESG initiatives such as distributing blankets among the needy during winters and providing dog beds at animal welfare homes. The club has also advocated for women’s safety and supported health awareness campaigns in collaboration with various NGOs.

As the Noida Cycling Club celebrates 15 remarkable years, it stands as a testament to what passion, consistency, and community spirit can achieve. More than just a club, NCC represents a shared journey defined by friendships, milestones, and countless kilometres ridden together.

Here’s to many more years of pedalling, exploring, and growing—together.
