A 100 KM GRAN FONDO RIDE WITH CHOLA BHATURAS ON THE WAY
When you put your mind to something, nothing can stop you from achieving your goals. The riders of the Noida Cycling Club proved just that as they successfully completed a 100 km-long ride in a seemingly effortless manner.
The ride, which began at 5:30 am from Noida’s Great India Place Mall to the Rohini Helipad and back, was as a result of requests by cyclists for a gran fondo trip to mark the end of March.
The journey that followed was both exhilarating and energising, with the breakfast stop at Rohini’s iconic Hari Om Chole Bhature providing the riders with a rejuvenating break.
The riders were further thrilled after the Noida Cycling Club handed out e-certificates to people who completed the whole trip. The presence of a 13-year-old cyclist caused quite a furore among the entire Noida Cycling Club gang. The whole bandwagon left the Great India Place at 5:30 pm and rode towards their destination.
Even though the weather was sweltering, the cyclists’ joy was palpable. Riders took photographs while enjoying the tranquilly and solitude of the roadways.
The elevated roads certainly made things tough for the riders but they conquered their tiredness with a big smile on their face and unmatched enthusiasm. The NCC crew kept causing to ensure that no one faced any difficulty during the ride and that everything was in order.
The cyclists arrived at the Rohini Helipad at 7:30 am, overcoming all obstacles on the way, and celebrated their first 50 kilometres by taking some incredible images.
They spent around 20 minutes at the spot, devising a strategy for the remainder of the journey. Meanwhile, the NCC administrators and crew educated the riders about the regulations of cycling and the measures that they must take on the road. They also instructed them to use protective equipment and to never compromise their safety.
They soon made a pitstop for breakfast at Hari Om Chole Bhature.Despite the fact that it was 8:30 am, athletes, including runners and cyclists, flooded the arena. Their motivation brightened the atmosphere, and there was a sense of optimism in the air.
They all were having a great time while enjoying a Sunday cheat breakfast.
After their brief rest, they were ready for the remaining part of their journey. They resolved to complete this loop as soon as possible to reach destination by 10 am. The roads were deserted, but all eyes were on the hard pedalling cyclists.
Riders were moving at incredible speeds before they came to a halt before AMA’s Cafe, one of the capital’s most well-known eateries. Some of the cyclists refreshed themselves with popular drinks, while others relaxed and enjoyed the atmosphere.
Riders were all praises for the 13-year-old cyclist who had just 10-15 kilometres to go before completing his first 100-kilometres ride. He expressed gratitude to the entire audience as well as the entire team of the Noida Cycling Club.
All’s well that ends well. The cyclists waved goodbye to one another and proceeded to their respective destinations, bringing the trip to a close.
